We are so glad you are here and that you took the first step to your wholeness and healing. What a courageous step that is!
The concept of good courage is having an inner quality to face difficulty and possible risk towards a goal that is for ultimate good, with boldness, calmness, confidence, and strength in spite of fear. This is not a quality that we can simply muster up, but one that we must practice in order to grow in it. It is also rooted in a dependence on and trust in God, as our Higher Power. We are not promised a life without suffering and pain, but we are promised His peace because He has already overcome all the suffering and pain of this world (John 16:33). Moreover, we can have inner strength and good courage because He is good and He is with us (Joshua 1:9).
Psalm 27:14 says “Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!”
As a faith-based counseling practice, it is our goal to integrate evidenced-based counseling techniques with grounded theology and the Holy Spirit's leading. It is likewise always the choice of the client if they would like faith-based counseling and can be discussed with their therapist.
